What is this? My new computer has, without permission, sent all my files to OneDrive which means that I must be online to access them.

This means that I must always be online. 

Doesn't it follow that my computer is an open book to the powers that be?

We already knew that nothing on our computers is private, but that problem applied to bad actors only.

This behavior on the part of Government or Computer Technology, probably both, is bold, blatant, hostile, criminal behavior in my opinion.
