He rose at 6am. From 6am to 9am he prepared for the day
From 9am to 1pm he worked
From 1pm to 2pm he rested
From 2pm to 6pm he worked
From 6pm to 10pm he engaged in evening activities such as reading, letter writing, entertaining, house parties, theater, and so forth
From 10pm to 6am he rested
